Healthy and tasty chocolate cake

 

Ingredients                 
                             

   

• 1 cup whole wheat flour
• 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
• 1/2 cup jaggery powder or honey (instead of white sugar)
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 cup milk
• 1/4 cup coconut oil or olive oil
• 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
• 1 small mashed banana (for natural sweetness and softness)
• A pinch of salt
• Optional: dark chocolate chips or nuts

                    

                  Method 

Preheat the oven to 180°C for about 10 minutes.
In a bowl, mix the dry ingredients: whole wheat flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, mix the wet ingredients: milk, oil, vanilla essence, mashed banana, and jaggery/honey.
Combine both mixtures slowly and mix well until smooth.
Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
Add dark chocolate chips or nuts on top if you like.
Bake for 25–30 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Let it cool for 10 minutes and then serve.
